The journey and preparation for our van to make it ready for our road trip so far has been hectic.

• Getting the carnet to enter Nepal, India, Pakistan, Iran, and the UAE

• Ordering the van lift kit from Germany and getting a friend to post it to us so we can raise the van’s ground clearance to better navigate the roads in Nepal and all the Stans countries

• Designing and ordering the modular woodwork for our sleeping needs and storage.

• Choosing and buying the auxiliary power system alongside the aircon to make sure that we have adequate cooling, heating, and power when we go off the grid

• Doing full insulation work to prepare for subzero temperatures when we hit the high altitude regions of Tibet and the Himalayas

• Buying the top box to get more storage options, and doing all the adjustments to make things work.

• Sending the van for inspection to have the road tax and insurance renewed.

And finally… We ready to pack and Go!!
