Day 59 - Kazakhstan

Outside the Imeni Dakunayeva Mosque in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Day 59: We are currently at the open parking area outside the Imeni Dakunayeva Mosque in Almaty. We decided to camp here last night and make it in time for Isyak prayer.
The original plan was to head out of Almaty, but the traffic jam was terrible. Almost all the major roads and highways are showing red on Google Maps. So, the best choice was to head to the nearby mosque, pray, and have an early night. Then, we will set off early in the morning after Fajr.
Alhamdulillah, yesterday we fixed the shower tent up, so now it's easier for us to take daily showers when we're out camping. It makes it much more convenient for us to change or use the toilet.
The boy was very happy that we stopped by another playground to dry out our laundry and install the side tent. He was able to play with the local kids and proudly proclaimed that he has many friends now. Lol.
InsyaAllah, later we will aim for the town of Zhibek Zholly. That's the border town that's recommended to head out to Uzbekistan. We will rest for the night there and aim to cross the border in the morning.
Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah.
May Allah continue to give us ease and protection.
Aameen Allahumma Ameen.
Labbaik-Allahuma-Labbaik.
