Day 60: We are currently outside the Kazygurt central mosque in Kazygurt Town, Kazakhstan. We camped here last night after driving for more than 700 km from Almaty en route to Zhibek Zholly.
Stopped by Zhibek Zholly Street in Shymkent for dinner at the burger joint that serves huge burgers before continuing on to where we are now.
We have decided to spend probably spend another day or two here in Kazakhstan to sort out all the visa and will probably just be resting at the border town before heading to cross the border over to Uzbekistan.
We will be taking the Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran route after Uzbekistan. That means we will be traveling by the Pamir Highway to enter Afghanistan by Shah Bandar, InsyaAllah. We will be needing to get the GBAO permit as well.
Mama will be applying for the Tajikistan visa for both Lau Lau and herself today. Once this is sorted, then the final route to reach Saudi will be as follows: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, UAE, and Saudi, InsyaAllah.
